Loyalty Clicks’ Shop To Give – How easy it is for a charity’s supporters to make a difference

Bob Dieterle

My dryer broke the other week just 4 years after we had bought it.  However, this hassle ended up doing some good for the Animal Protection Society (APS) of Durham.   My wife, who is an ardent supporter of the APS, suggested that we purchase our new dryer through the APS’ new Shop To Give online shopping mall.   After doing the research, we bought our new dryer online at Best Buy via the Shop To Give mall and after the dryer shipped the APS received a $11.50 sales commission from Best Buy.

I am the general manager at Smart Online, the Durham-based company that developed Shop To Give and, to raise awareness for this new application, I have decided to match every dollar of commissions earned up to $500 for the month of June.  So actually the APS is getting $23 for the replacement of that darn broken dryer of mine!

I am blogging about this because I truly believe in the power of the masses.  Imagine if all of the volunteers and supporters of the APS started to shop through Shop To Give, where each purchase generates about $1 in new funds back to the APS.  Can we get 500 people to do this monthly?

Visit the Shop To Give section of LoyaltyClicks.com to learn exactly how the process works!

Donating Is As Easy As Feeding Your Pet!

With the current economy, it’s been very difficult for many individuals to even think about donating any of their money to their favorite cause. It’s crunch time for most of us, but this could just be a time to get creative with the money we do spend. LoyaltyClicks has given the APS of Durham a new way for its donors to give back: an online shopping mall called Shop To Give where you can access all the stores you already frequent – whether it’s Best Buy, Wal-mart, Target, Barnes & Noble or Macy’s!  Entering each store’s site through the shopping portal assures that a percentage of your purchase is donated to the APS of Durham.

Most of us already shop online for holidays or birthday gifts, but what if the 500-or-so members of the APS of Durham started buy all of their dog food through the shopping portal at a store like PetSmart.  4% of your purchase will be directly donated back to the APS of Durham from PetSmart! If the average pet owner spends about $50 a month and there are approximately 500 pet owners that visit the shopping mall to purchase items they are currently already buying, the APS of Durham would receive about $1,000 a month and $12,000 a year!  Best of all, you don’t spend any additional money!  It’s all about shopping smarter, and adding just a couple of clicks to your online shopping routine.

The example above is just one of many that shows how shoppers can start donating without writing any additional checks. When you visit the online shopping mall and click on your favorite store, you will be redirected right into the retailer’s own shopping site, and you can shop and check out as you normally would.

So next time you are shopping online for a birthday gift, back-to-school gear or birthday presents, remember the APS of Durham’s Shop To Give site, and make your purchase a meaningful one!
